Marina Bay Sands transforms Sands Grand Ballroom for Chinese New Year gala dinner

From live entertainment to delectable cuisine, clients were treated to a spectacular night showcasing the best of Marina Bay Sands’ Expo & Convention Centre

A blank canvas to dream up an experience like no other – with over 7,600 square metres of flexible space to work with at the region’s largest ballroom, Sands Grand Ballroom, an unforgettable Chinese New Year gala dinner was presented to over 600 esteemed partners and clients on 7 February.

Upon arriving at Level 5, guests were led through a long walkway of scarlet arches before arriving at the foyer, where various experiences awaited them. These included a cocktail bar and a fragrance booth by luxury perfumer Amaffi, as they networked with others before the grand unveiling of the transformed Sands Grand Ballroom.

Inside, the evening unfolded with a series of curated experiences that blended tradition with contemporary sensibility, showcasing the culinary team’s brilliance and flair. In a luxurious take on a cherished tradition, guests gathered for the tossing of an exquisite Lobster & Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng with Caviar and Gold Leaves. This preluded a night where guests indulged in an expertly crafted menu featuring dishes such as Osmanthus Kurobuta Pork and Abalone in Shell with Moutai Wine Jelly.

Complementing the feast was an exceptional entertainment line-up that was elevated by the venue’s technical capabilities. These include an aerial performance, an erhu solo by virtuoso Calista Liaw, and a Chinese dance by a young ensemble from Admiralty Primary School as part of Marina Bay Sands’ ongoing efforts to nurture the next generation and support the local arts and culture scene.

A spectacular Lion Dance concluded the programme. Guests were then invited to the grand finale outside the ballroom - an exquisite buffet-style dessert spread – to end the night on a sweet note.
