VR Gallery is a brand-new permanent gallery dedicated to exploring new boundaries of art in virtual reality.
Spending most of our working life behind computers and desks comes at a cost - we don't get a chance to fully experience other worlds, communities, and cultures out there.
But through a VR headset, one can dive between immersive worlds created by the artists or riveting stories that put you right into the shoes of protagonists. Physically present yet transportive, VR helps us to consider our empathy for others and our impact in the world. What does it feel like to live an hour in the life of a refugee? What sort of world will we be living in post-climate disaster? How did it feel like floating thousands of miles in orbit away from Earth? These are a one-of-a-kind experience that stays with you long after you've taken off the headset.
