Planner’s Guide

To help make the most out of your group’s visit to ArtScience Museum, we have some suggested itineraries for your reference.

When planning for your visit, please remember to add on an additional 10 minutes to consider your group’s journey from the coach drop off point to ArtScience Museum. Upon arrival at the museum, your group will be welcomed by an Education Specialist who will conduct a Meet & Greet detailing a brief introduction to the exhibition and any Do's & Don’ts to follow.

Free wireless access is available throughout the Museum when you connect to  “Marina Bay Sands” under Wi-Fi.

Strollers

A designated stroller parking area is available near the exhibition entrance.

Strollers are not permitted into all exhibitions due to space constraints and the safety concerns of artworks/installations.

People with disabilities (PWDs) and one accompanying caregiver can purchase concession tickets when visiting the Museum.

Wheelchair Accessibility

 Wheelchair-friendly washrooms are also located on every floor.

ArtScience Museum welcomes visitors using manual and motorised wheelchairs. Automated entry doors are available, and all public levels are accessible via lifts. Gallery pathways are designed with a minimum clear width of 1.2 metres to support comfortable wheelchair movement.

Wheelchair-accessible washrooms are provided on every floor of the Museum.

For safety and operational reasons, only personal mobility aids (PMAs used for medical or mobility-assistance needs) are permitted within gallery spaces. Personal mobility devices (PMDs intended for general or recreational use are not allowed).

Approved PMAs must meet the following requirements:

  • Maximum length of 120cm
  • Maximum width of 70cm
  • Maximum height of 150cm
  • Maximum laden weight of 300kg
  • Maximum operating speed of 10km/h

Please note that charging facilities for motorised wheelchairs or PMAs are not available within the Museum.

Oculus Entrance

On rainy days, please use the Oculus entrance to steer clear of the rain when moving between the Museum and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

Touching the Artwork

While engagement with our interactive displays is encouraged, please refrain from touching any exhibits labelled with “Do Not Touch” as even clean hands can cause damage to the artworks.

Do also pay attention to all barriers and/or floor markings.

Consideration for Others

For the enjoyment of other visitors, kindly set your mobile phone to silent mode and refrain from talking loudly when in the exhibition galleries.

Food and Drinks

To maintain a clean environment and protect the artworks, food and drinks are not allowed in the galleries.

Behaviour

We are committed to ensuring that the museum is a safe, inclusive and respectful place for all.

Anyone exhibiting abusive, threatening or violent behaviours will be asked to stop or leave the Museum premises.

Safety of Young Visitors

For the safety and security of young visitors in the Museum, children below 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Running in the exhibition galleries is not allowed.

Smoking

Our Museum is committed to and encourages a smoke-free environment. Smoking or vaping is not permitted within the Museum premises.

Please smoke only at the designated areas outside the Museum.

Photography and Filming

Take as many photos as you like to remember your visit here. Do note that the use of tripod, selfie sticks, flash photography is prohibited, unless otherwise stated.

To film in the galleries, prior permission is required.

You may be asked to remove your backpack and carry it if the Museum is experiencing a high volume of visitors.

Prohibited Items

Animals, live plants or flowers, naked flames, flammable items and any other items considered by ArtScience Museum to present a risk to the Authorised Areas are strictly prohibited.
