Visions of the Future continues in January 2026 with a new programme that imagines alternative futures through myth, ritual and storytelling. Featuring works by John Akomfrah, Montika Kham-on, Shi Yun Teo, Trương Minh Quý and more.
Curated by X Zhu-Nowell, Executive Director and Chief Curator of Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai, the 2026 edition of ART SG FILM invites spectators to engage with the image in the contemplative darkness of the cinema, exploring its power to move the viewer not through rhetoric but through a singular, subjective encounter.

Late Spring
Commissioned for the smallest of screens as part of ArtScience at Home in 2020, Micro-Commissions features short films by some of Singapore's most prominent artists and filmmakers.
Kicking off the series is Lei Yuan Bin's Late Spring, an homage to film legend Yasujiro Ozu's masterpiece of the same name. -
ArtScience On Screen: Prophecy
Prophecy is a collaboration between filmmaker Gladys Ng, writer Zoea Tania and musician thistlemorse. It invites the audience to contemplate our earthly and spiritual existence through imagery both vast and microscopic.
