Sustainable Futures Film Festival 2026 explores ocean science, environmental urgency, and cinematic imagination inspired by perspectives beyond the human.

Through documentaries, feature films and early cinema, the festival examines how our changing world, particularly the deep ocean, has shaped human creativity and scientific discovery – from spotlighting the work of marine scientists to pioneering underwater filmmaking and contemporary climate storytelling.

Running from 12 June to 31 August, the programme unfolds across three thematic strands that offer a multi-faceted lens to understand our shared worlds and hidden connections with the wider ecology.

Forms of Life Ticket

In 2026, ArtScience Museum presents a year-long season of exhibitions and programmes that explore the wider ecology of life beyond the human, attending to the multispecies worlds, systems, and intelligences that shape the planet alongside us. Rather than centering the human as the primary actor, Forms of Life: Beyond the Human considers how life is co-shaped by other living entities.
