Sustainable Futures Film Festival 2026 explores ocean science, environmental urgency, and cinematic imagination inspired by perspectives beyond the human.
The festival examines how our shared and rapidly changing worlds, particularly the deep ocean, have continually shaped creative storytelling and scientific discovery.
Traversing the expanding field of ecocinema, the programme brings together environmental documentaries, feature films and early cinema - from intimate portraits of marine scientists to contemporary climate stories that blur the boundaries of narrative fiction and documentary realism.
