Wellness Wednesdays with Singapore Association for Mental Health

Wellness Wednesdays with Singapore Association for Mental Health

Special Event

7 Sep, 5 Oct 2022 & 4 Jan, 1 Feb 2023

The Sun, Basement 1

S$35 per participant, includes a free and easy visit to MENTAL: Colours of Wellbeing.

ArtScience Museum is collaborating with Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) on a series of art and wellness workshops on selected Wednesdays.

The activities range from storytelling, contour drawing, dot-making and not doing anything! These art experiential sessions provide an opportunity for individuals to experience how art can serve as a form of expression based on the suggested theme. With art making, it allows one to have a greater self-awareness of their inner thoughts and emotions. Participants do not need to have any art background to join, the only requirement is curiosity and interest!

The workshops are offered as part of our education programme for MENTAL: Colours of Wellbeing.

How are you? You know that it’s okay to feel what you are feeling, right?

Your feelings are unique and personal.

MENTAL: Colours of Wellbeing is not an exhibition about mental illness, treatments or cures. It is a welcoming place where you can confront societal bias and stereotypes around mental health. MENTAL invites you to embark on an intimate and personal journey that explores the many different ways of being, surviving and making connections, that have become of increasing importance to us all.

Special Event: Art of Being Calm

Amongst the many uncertainties in the current hectic society, it is always important to find a little joy, laughter, and that bit of sparkle in our eyes. Art of Being Calm is a new programme that focuses on the ABCs of finding serenity.
